A brand identity developed for a start-up brewery focused on storytelling, community, and organic production.

The brief was to create a distinctive brand that connects with new audiences while communicating the brewery’s commitment to fresh, organic ingredients and future plans to sell products through its own venues. As a start-up, the brand needed to establish credibility, recognition, and a clear narrative.

Research explored historical and cultural references to brewing traditions, particularly those centred around community and celebration. The brand draws inspiration from ancient brewing culture and communal rituals, informing both the name and visual direction.

The resulting identity, Tekh, references an ancient communal celebration associated with beer-making and collective participation. The visual system was designed to celebrate community, heritage, and storytelling, positioning the brewery as both contemporary and rooted in tradition.

This project demonstrates a research-led approach to brand identity design, translating cultural reference points into a cohesive visual system suitable for a growing, values-driven brewery.
